Today we wanted to know what everyone regretted doing as a kid. Fish regretted that he told his mom he hated her once, Steve regretted that he almost burned his house down, and Christine regretted being a bully.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s something you did as a kid that you still regret?

  • When I was 16, I liked this guy I worked with and wanted to be able to just hangout and get to know him, so I had this brilliant idea to take my Grandmother's apartment keys (she was up staying with us for a week) thinking she would never know, and go hangout there. I had asked a friend to lie for me and say I was staying the night with her if My Mom should call, but she told my Mom the truth. They sent police to her apartment at like 10pm. They made the guy and myself go to the police station where my step dad and Grandma came to pick me up from. We were an hour away from home and they refused to bring the guy with us and he ended having to walk part way until his parents were able to pick him up. (He was 17 so once my Grandmother said she wasn't pressing charges, we were both released.) That was my one and only time in the back of a police car, and it was my biggest regret because my Family, especially my Grandmother (the one I looked up to the most in this world) no longer trusted me. To this day, even after she's been gone 16 years, I wish I never would have done that and betrayed her trust!
  • Letting “friends” be assholes and putting up with it. You teach people how to treat you.
  • Standing up to a bully, no really, beating the effing shit out of her!
  • Not trying harder and getting scholarships to school. I started college at 26 and am now $50k in debt. Stupid.
  • Once I was so mad at my sister I told her I would kill her. To this day I can't pick up a knife without thinking about how much I hurt her, and being scared that the thought even crossed my mind in the first place. I would NEVER do that to anyone
  • Watch the Packers game Nah... still love them but a little sad on performance.
  • Stoping piano lessons
  • Doing drugs
  • Tried on a gold played rings at one of those Claire's Boutique type stores at the local mall. Forgot about it, and realized it was still on my litle finger when I got home. The only thing I ever stole and it was an accident. I'm 40 something and still have guilt.
  • Starting smoking at 13...luckily I was able to quit 15 years ago but took 25 years....
  • I got into a scuffle with my best friend at the time in 5th grade. It wasn't a fight, neither of us were like that. But koosh balls (could be wrong on spelling) were the big craze at that time along with yo yos. I had a couple and refused to share with him. I don't really even know why to be honest. I trusted him. I guess I just felt special having it and it made it unique having it to myself. Luckily it was just the one incident. But there are plenty of things I regret not doing in high school. I never smoked or drank.
  • Threw a book at my sister’s face giving her a black eye...right before picture day at school
  • Got rid if my metal Voltron and transformers.
  • Nothing, Everything happened for a reason and made me end up where I am today
  • Letting my mom give me perms, but my husband who teaches sophomores said they are “in” again but with boys.
  • My siblings & I decided to have a garage sale, I was around 9 years old, they were 5, 3 & 2. Got into our Dad's record collection. Sold them for 50 cents each. Can't remember how many we sold before he came home for lunch, not many. Boy was he hot! He had Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind & Fire, alot of big artists.
  • Ordered 4 large pizzas for a boy I had a crush on. Got busted and the cops got involved
  • I don't even know why I did this? I let my best friends boyfriend try on my class ring. And we had to cut it off of him, I never got it replaced.
  • Taking the time I had with my mom for granted. I was a teenager who only wanted to hang with friends when she passed away. I’d give anything to go back to that time and spend as much time with her as I could
  • I was mean to my mom. Even if it was as a child, hits me hard now that she’s gone.
  • Lied to my mom about losing her class ring. She knew I was lying but didn’t say anything. She died “not knowing” the truth.
  • Date as a 16 year old!
  • Got knocked up at 15
  • Drinking beer to simply "fit in".
  • Pregnant and married at 15. We were married for 12 years.
  • Didn't go college
  • Married my high-school boyfriend... EEK!
  • Caring about what everyone thought of me.
  • Quitting violin.
  • Grew up
  • I picked a tulip from a ladies yard and got caught. Also, I wish I never stopped playing the violin.
  • Pulling a fire alarm......... in a church...
  • Cut all the hair off my sisters barbie dolls
  • Grew up too fast...
  • Smoking
  • Sold my Star Wars toys at a garage sale
  • Crack my knuckles
  • To this day I regret knocking my tooth out while bowling. It was after my Junior Prom & I was laughing & my head went down while I was laughing & in the same move I brought the bowling ball up... I know Steve can relate.
  • The thing I most regret doing as a kid was getting into trouble with the law. It follows you no matter how big or small, no matter the amount of time it’s always there lingering.
  • ? Of the day..... When I was about eight, mom wouldn't let me have my way so I kicked my heel into the door, karmas a bitch because that hole is still there and now I own the house and the darn door
  • Here's my answer for the question of the day and my mom still reminds me of this to this day but at least she can laugh about it now. When I was mad and my mom and I were arguing I threw a pop bottle, it was one of the plastic ones. I wasnt thinking about it still having pop in it well when I threw it it hit the wall, it bounced off the wall and hit my mom right in the throat!! She couldn't talk, she couldn't breathe, she was gasping for air and I was FREAKING OUT! I THOUGHT I KILLED HER!! Im like mom talk to me talk to me please just tell me I'm grounded for life or something and shes like or you're grounded alright lol. She was fine thank God and still gives me crap about it and I'm 43 and I think I was 15 when that happened. I totally regret it very much!!
  • Worked at a pickle factory and Stuck my finger in the pickle slicer.... We both got fired.
  • TQOTD: When I was a kid one night while watching tv my younger brother randomly started pulling my hair...in return I took his face and smashed it on the floor and his nose broke. Oops. His nose is still so crooked and he's 41. I still regret it...obviously.
  • Playing Tarzan and Jane with my twin sister. I wore my mother's undies, swung on those pull string light switches, latest 5 seconds, fell on the bed post, put a whole in mt head, only happy moment was my twin sister throwing up from the blood
