TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s the best compliment anyone has ever given you?

  • #tqotd I'm a preschool teacher (4/5 yr olds) my current boss told me I'm a fantastic teacher and she loves having me, and my old boss STILL tries getting me to move back to GR to work for her. It's a good feeling, especially since there are days where you just feel like the kids literally got nothing from you! Also, just the other day while putting my baby in his car seat and trying to keep him content, my husband's friend said: "you know, you're just the best mom ever." My husband has said that he has to lol. And again, when there are days you feel like a terrible parent, that's so nice to hear!!!
  • It’s not really a compliment per se, but the best thing someone has told me is they were proud of me.
  • That I am a great mom
  • Shortly after my first son was born, my mom told me that she always knew I'd be a good mom, but never knew I'd be THAT good.
  • From students: - Mrs. Schmidt, you’re such a mom. - I want to be you!
  • Good morning! Just want to say you guys (and lady!) totally make my mornings more enjoyable so thank you! And for the TQOTD, as a parent, I would have to say the best compliment for me is when someone tells me how great my kids are. It feels so great to know that I did something right! Lol. Have a super sparkly day!!
  • From my dad, whom I severely do not get along with, said over last summer while I was dealing with constant car issues said to my mom (while I was out cussing up a storm working on my car lol) "women that don't wait for a man to come to their rescue and get all grimy dirty under the hood of a car are truly inspiring. Kinda like our daughter. She didn't wait. She researched and then got to work. Now, look at her! She's doing a great job!" That blew me away that he'd pay me a compliment like that.
  • Biggest compliment. I was told by a male coworker (cardiac surgeon) that I am an intimidating woman. When I asked for clarification I was told that I am very smart and well spoken and that makes me intimidating.
  • TQOTD the best compliment I've gotten was from my mom-figure who never had kids of her own: "You're the daughter I didn't know that I wanted." She said that after I called her "mom" for the first time last year. We were both crying like babies in our church parking lot after that.
  • TQOTD...my mom and friends, for the most part, telling me that I am smart! And lately, I need those reminders as I am starting to brand new huge things in life!
  • TQOTD.. What's the best compliment someone's given me. My daughters Girl Scout leader called me after a hard day of helping clear out her entire basement. She said her husband said I was a very hard worker and that's a huge compliment coming from him. I take a lot of pride in helping people and doing a good job. It's nice to know people see that Happy Tuesday ya'll
  • My parents saying they are very proud of me
  • Best compliment: You're raising really great people. I have 3 teenagers
  • Good morning!? Of the day .... hmmm let me think.. introducing me to an important client" This is our best spray paint and very Dedicated employer" And a man saying" you're Beautiful"
  • Best compliment: My four-year-old saying “you did it, mom!” After I drove through a snow storm

She approached me and said "you should walk around with your head high. You are beautiful and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise." Then she walked away. I was 14 and it has stuck with me since then and I am 28 now.
  • Best compliment I ever got was My son wrote his U of M essay on me he said I was the best example for him growing up.

  • I guess it's when I find that my dad shows stuff I made to his patents at work, or when my friends tell other people about "that one friend" WAIT NO, HANG ON. Best compliment is when our family's cat chooses to sit on MY lap or go to MY room instead of another family members

  • I have been told on a couple of occasions by my loving husband that I am the strongest woman he's ever known. I have to say, that's probably the best compliment anybody could ever give me because I've been through a lot of crap in my life and worked a really hard to be as strong as I am today.

  • Best compliment I have ever received, "There is something about you, something completely intangible. It's what makes you stand out and completely unforgettable. I have hoped to be that for these girls, and inspire them, but no one has outright told me that before. That was just a few weeks ago and I still think about it every day :)
  • After we had been married about 10 years (now it's been almost 27) my husband told me that when we started dating he told himself "She is way out of your league so just enjoy it as long as it lasts." Nicest thing anyone has ever told me. ❤️
  • I rarely get compliments, but when I do it's always from women. My woman loves me because I'm nice, gentle, and protective. She's scared now cause we're being evicted from our dwelling. I said not to worry, no matter what, I'll be with her through any hell we might face.
  • I had a girl in high school tell me I was a "Plain Jane." Clearly, that stayed with me 30 years. My fiance told me I was a "rare bird" and I know that sounds odd, but I knew it was a huge compliment because he was telling me that he admires that I am unique, that he likes my quirkiness and silly heart instead of labeling weird.

Got an awesome job before the papers were signed. I have endured horrible Verbal abuse via text from my ex-husband yet never replied in anger. Had to sell my beautiful house found a wonderful rental next to a very sweet grandmother like figure for my little girl. 2 years later I married to a man today grew up with. kissed and I was 14, yet never dated but know without a shadow of a doubt that I will spend the rest of my life with. We just bought a house in a new city my little girl loves her school and I am even her brownie leader. Just because your life falls apart does not mean that there is no way to put it back together.
