What’s the best compliment anyone has ever given you?

• #tqotd I'm a preschool teacher (4/5 yr olds) my current boss told me I'm a fantastic teacher and she loves having me, and my old boss STILL tries getting me to move back to GR to work for her. It's a good feeling, especially since there are days where you just feel like the kids literally got nothing from you! Also, just the other day while putting my baby in his car seat and trying to keep him content, my husband's friend said: "you know, you're just the best mom ever." My husband has said that he has to lol. And again, when there are days you feel like a terrible parent, that's so nice to hear!!!
• It’s not really a compliment per se, but the best thing someone has told me is they were proud of me.
• That I am a great mom
• Shortly after my first son was born, my mom told me that she always knew I'd be a good mom, but never knew I'd be THAT good.

And for the TQOTD, as a parent, I would have to say the best compliment for me is when someone tells me how great my kids are. It feels so great to know that I did something right! Lol. • From my dad, whom I severely do not get along with, said over last summer while I was dealing with constant car issues said to my mom (while I was out cussing up a storm working on my car lol) "women that don't wait for a man to come to their rescue and get all grimy dirty under the hood of a car are truly inspiring. Kinda like our daughter. She didn't wait. She researched and then got to work. Now, look at her! She's doing a great job!" That blew me away that he'd pay me a compliment like that.
• Biggest compliment. I was told by a male coworker (cardiac surgeon) that I am an intimidating woman. When I asked for clarification I was told that I am very smart and well spoken and that makes me intimidating.
• TQOTD the best compliment I've gotten was from my mom-figure who never had kids of her own: "You're the daughter I didn't know that I wanted." She said that after I called her "mom" for the first time last year. We were both crying like babies in our church parking lot after that.
• TQOTD...my mom and friends, for the most part, telling me that I am smart! And lately, I need those reminders as I am starting to brand new huge things in life!
• TQOTD.. What's the best compliment someone's given me. My daughters Girl Scout leader called me after a hard day of helping clear out her entire basement. She said her husband said I was a very hard worker and that's a huge compliment coming from him. I take a lot of pride in helping people and doing a good job. I'm a girl's high school hockey coach (and I am a female) and after coaching for 4 years, one of my graduating seniors wrote me a note (which doesn't happen often with typical 17-year-olds these days) and told me that I am her role model. I have hoped to be that for these girls, and inspire them, but no one has outright told me that before. That was just a few weeks ago and I still think about it every day :)

• Had a teacher send us an email about our 17-year-old son complimenting our parenting and how much of a pleasure our son is, she expressed that he's very thoughtful and courteous to everyone and even apologizes for other kids' behavior when he recognizes they are being jerks. Our kid is pretty popular in school and it's great to know he's comfortable doing the right thing even when outs not the popular thing.

Got an awesome job before the papers were signed. I have endured horrible Verbal abuse via text from my ex-husband yet never replied in anger. Had to sell my beautiful house found a wonderful rental next to a very sweet grandmother like figure for my little girl. 2 years later I married to a man today grew up with. kissed and I was 14, yet never dated but know without a shadow of a doubt that I will spend the rest of my life with. We just bought a house in a new city my little girl loves her school and I am even her brownie leader. Just because your life falls apart does not mean that there is no way to put it back together.
