TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s the coolest thing you ever got for Free? How or Why?

  • We got an upgraded trip for our entire family to Turks & Caicos with Beaches. We had paid for a trip to Beaches in Jamaica and a month before the resort called me and said they closed the Jamaican resort for upgrades, but that they were going to send us to T & C instead. I was so upset, because I had no idea that this was a $4000 upgrade, I had never heard of T & C, and we had also just paid off all 5 of our airline tickets. The lady who called me felt so bad that she repaid us for our flights and gave us a TON of upgrades like dinner and massages on the beach and snorkeling expeditions also many extras for the kiddos. It wasn't until I got there that I realized how absolutely incredible Turks & Caicos was! I would love to return someday.
  • I got a picture of a piano that meant the world to me my friend had it on sale and then she was a guest of mine at my work and I had solved a problem for her and she gave it to me my mother was a piano teacher and passed away 😢

Given to me, along with 3 lenses, by a long time family friend who had been seeing all the cell phone photos I had been taking and thought I needed something to get me started in the photography business. Genuinely the most amazing compliment, and gift, I've ever received. That was 6 years ago, and though I have upgraded my gear massively since then, I will never forget that gift or what it means to have people believe in my vision.
