Wow, did we get a lot of answers for today's text question! As it turns out, a lot of people have scars (both physical and even some emotional.) Quick warning, these aren't really for the faint of heart.

TEXT QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What’s the story behind the scar you have?

My 1st son's heartbeat dropped borderline cardiac arrest while I was in labor, so I had an emergency c- section to save his life. Had 3 more beautiful babies after that through c-sections as well (my youngest is just about 3 months old)
14 stitches from the corner of my eye all the way up into my eyebrow after doing a face dive over the handlebars of my bike. I was a sophomore in high school and it was the day after class pictures were taken. That was the last photo of me without my scar on my face.
Crescent moon shaped scar on my middle finger, happened while cleaning a glass coffee pot. It broke just under the rim band, the whole thing fell into the sink while the part still attached to the band hit my finger down to the bone
FISH PLEASE READ THIS ONE ONE AIR!! When my son was 4 he ran into the corner of the wall which resulted in a deep cut on his forehead. It went down to the bone leaving him with a nice scar right in the middle his forehead. Now that he is older, (13) he refers to it as his "Harry Potter" scar from...wait for it...WALLdemorte!!10 points to Gryffindor!!
I have a mark that looks kinda like a birthmark at the base of my neck. People often ask if it’s a tattoo, others have asked if I have had tracheotomy. In actuality, when I was two my mom caught my skin in the zipper of my snow suit. I am in my 40’s and she has offered to pay for cosmetic surgery, has bought me scar cream, all other natural stuff to try and reduce it. I kinda like it. So it stays.
Christmas 1982 I was 5 I was jumping on my aunts bed. Thought I was Wonder Woman and jumped into the wall. Went to the hospital had to be strapped to the bed cuz I was scared of Santa who came in. 6 stitches later I was back home lol
I have a giant bite mark on my right bicep from a foster child who was trying to run away....she meant to bite someone else, but I was the first person in line of sight.
I fell out a window carrying my nephew when I wasn't supposed to be! Lol mom was so mad.
Bottom of my foot, came out of the lake to the towel, was like 10, and my foot is bleeding. Had one of those old pop tops that are roundish and you use to pull off pop cans with the little ring in it stuck sideways in my foot
Flew thru a front glass door at 4 chasing a girl that had my doll almost bleed out... stitches all up my arm. Then we have the bike going down a hill, or the knife that cut my pinky off when I was 6.. or the 9 surgery’s to my gut.. and so many more..
One scar I have happened when I was 12 or 13. My friend and I decided to put down the slip n slide ourselves. Doing so we didn't check the yard for sticks and things like you're supposed to. So we were playing having a good time then a stick stabbed me in my knee and blood started running down my leg. I never got taken to the doctor so it closed up on it's on.

I had orthoscopic surgery on my knee 30 years ago playing ball in high school.
I have a scar on the right side of my neck. Used to be a mole there that I had since birth but it had started to change color and I have skin cancer in my family history so my dr took it out and tested it. It wasn’t cancer thankfully but the way it healed it has a pinkish purple tint to it so I get asked if it’s a hickey a lot. ‍♀️

I have a roughly 12 inch scar down my back... when I was 13 I had a spinal fusion and rods placed to correct scoliosis, pre surgery I had 65 degree thoracic curvature and a 30 degree lumbar curvature... I grew over 3 inches that day...
Scar on inner calf: My brother was hitting pop flys in the back yard and I was running to catch them, wearing faux cowboy boots with the thin metal decoration on the toe (it was starting to peel up)... needless to say, the metal on my toe meet the meat of my calf intimately
Got my head shut in a door when I was 5.
I was hit by a car while riding a bike when I was 8 years old. Over 40 stitches to close a hole in my forehead that was the size of a 50 cent peice. Also a hole in my knee, only 7 stitches there. Also lost my 2 front teeth, skull fracture and broken arm. Spend a month in the hospital. I always joke, I have an excuse for being weird, I had head injuries.

I have a couple on my knees. I was a reall uncoordinated kid and would trip over the skip-it’s. Took me 4 times before I was banned from playing with them.. we were pulling gravel out of my knee for about a week.

picked a bad place for hide n seek when I was 5. I hid in a pile of garbage bags at my grandparents house. 19 stitches later and a sweet scar....and a valuable life lesson.
Playing with a PeeWee Herman doll when I was 2. Tripped over a rug and smashed my right eyebrow onto a stool. A bunch of stitches and now it looks like I plucked my eyebrows the wrong way.
Oh my gosh, so many! Slip and slide from like 30 + years ago! Knee injury from I don't even remember what, lol. Weed whacker, knife, counter top from childhood too.
I have a lots of scars from my siblings. They were brutal. On my left forearm I have a faint scar from my wrist to my elbow. I was about 10 and my brother was about 7 and he hit me with a Reynolds’s wrap box. The blade side. Brutal

There's, chicken pox, ran in to a door frame, dog bite, cigarette burn, hot pans/pots, twice I've had glass shards go thru my fingers and gotten stitches, got pushed in highschool and fell, cats, drill bit on a drill press bc some idiots didn't know what they were doing and I had to rescue them before the situation escalated. I'm one walking disaster of scars lol.

TQOTD....a very small piece of the back of my left ear is missing. I can feel it, but it's not noticeable. Several more scars along my back and chest, all early stage skin cancer. #spf2000

#TQOTD i had a car accident when I was 18. The tree won. I was left with 26 breaks in 6 bones. My tibia plateau was shattered and had to be rebuilt.
Hello this is brittny. Oh my goodness where do i begin. I have so many scars. I have a couple pretty good sized scars on my cheek from a dog actually biting my face when i was pretty young and still to this day love animals.
My husband has a 1 foot scar on his back from surgery. He broke his back when he was 20 doing a hill jump on a dirt bike. He was in the hospital for 6 months. He has 1 long rod and 6 screws in his back.
I have a scar on my foot that is about an inch long. I got it last summer when I was cooking for the first time for my boyfriend. I was cooking pierogies and used a butter knife to put more butter in the pan and when I set it back down it fell and stabbed me in my foot. So, I have a check mark ✅ scar above my knee. What happen was, in 5th grade our school went on strike At the beginning of the school year. We came back on my birthday September 29. Well we are on strike the janitor had put a car windshield in the hallway (leaned up against the wall). One of my classmates decided to give me birthday spankings, and she accidentally kicked the windshield and it fell into my leg!
I have a scar across the bridge of my nose. I used to run quite a bit and one time Inwas on the treadmill and wanted to position a fan so it was blowing directly on me. I left the belt running and THOUGHT I could hop back and continue my run. Nope. I smacked my face on the console flew off the back of the treadmill but not until after smacking my face on the belt too. I broke my nose on a treadmill. Who on God's green earth breaks their nose on a treadmill? This ding-dong, that's who.
I have a bike pedal scar on the back of my leg as I'm sure many people do. The difference with mine is I was riding my 10 speed down a country road and hit fresh manure. I literally ate shit and didn't die, and I have a scar to remind me of it. :)
The scar I have is on my right eyebrow, I got it 25 years ago when I was a kid trying to climb on a shelf. The shelf broke free from the wall and the corner came down and hit me right above the eye.

I have a scar on my back from climbing the gutters on the side of our house when I was about 6 years old. I fell as I got up to about the second floor and I turned as I was falling and scratched my back on the bottom of the gutters. I have two weird scar stories and my sister has one that I gave her. For me, my first was in middle school. I was playing capture the (rubber) chicken and I was crossing my side of the gym and a boy from the other team pushed me into the bleachers to stop me. It's about 2.5 inches long on my left knee. The other one is about two inches on my right thigh. I got it a few months ago. I work with turtles and I was covering the turtle's eyes so we could measure it, but it's claw from it's from flipper dug into my thigh. For my sister, we were at church as kids and they had these flowers, I guess, similar to the dandelion in Horton hears a whoo, but it was covered in thorns. Someone thought it would be a good idea to hand them out, well I was running around with them and got a thorn stuck in her finger and it's scarred now
#TQOTD the same car accident that created the knee scar also created this one. My eyelid was sliced through. My told dispatch that she could see my eye when it was closed. She was worried I'd look like quasimoto
#tqotd I have a large scar on my right knee from a bone tumor being removed when I was a teenager and I have two smaller scars one on each leg on my calves from a glass Pepsi bottle exploding when it fell out of an eight pack when I was about 8 years old. The back of my hand was degloved from a second and third degree burns when I burned bacon. I was living in a small apartment that didn't have a hood over the stove. I opened my front door to let the smoking pan of bacon air out. When it opened, it was storming outside, and the wind caught the pan and flipped it back over my hand and arm, covering it in hot bacon grease. I didn't have transportation at the time so I treated it at home as best I could. Three days later I got a ride to the clinic. They had to debreed my hand and wrist. I had to grow new skin altogether in several spots.
TQOTD: so many scars and stories. Sum up: one from bike fall on knee...., one from first cartwheel into a corner of a wall..., one from jumping on metal bleachers and my leg swung out under me and hit a bolt, ...and Ive had a small splinter in my eye once
Tqotd.. my story behind my scar is a triple A battery blew up in a fire and hit me in the leg giving me a 3rd degree burn
?of dah day.....My brothers and sister thought it was funny when I was little to grab my arms -legs and swung me into the stereo so now I have a scar on the top of my head .Mom wasn't watching me.Also that year(2)pull a hot iron on my hand, (my mom wasn't watching me) 2 years old shut my thumb in the door. Back to hospital. Dam it sucked being the littlest of 4. I was sooo ignored. Bahaha
Physical scar: On a hunting trip in the mountains as a teenager, I gashed open my forearm. With no hospital around for 100+ miles, my uncle drove me to the nearest taxidermist where I received 6 stitches. Emotional scar: Having my mother-in-law tell me "I didn't deserve to be the man of my house". Yep, that pretty much ended that marriage. I moved out 3 days later!
So I have a ginormous scar on my back from a tiny mole removal.. but like Fish, I used to tell people I got it from a bar fight and someone broke a bottle on my back. I'm still amazed at how many people accept that as the truth!
I have a scar on my left eyebrow going vertically. I was in middle School and one of my guy friends had took something from me and I wanted it back so I took off chasing him around our circular library in our middle School and he went through a pair of double doors and when I went to go through them I threw it open so hard that it hit the stopper come flying back and the side of the door hit me in the face and knocked me on my ass.
The truth is---I was s Bird in another lifetime....just not a very good one! The reason I know this is because waaaayyyy back in HS, I was standing at the bus stop (lived in NY) and a bird flew over and pooped right on my hair and it dripped down my face. Fast forward 3 hours and I cut out of school to go to a senior skip day party. (I was a Sophmore)---we were at a lake with picnic tables, trees and a keg. Suddenly, everyone was asking who sat in the pile bird of shit that was on one of the tables. Yep, it was me....forward 30 minutes...being a true Midwest girl I thought it would be a good idea to climb a tree with a friend. We raced....and I fell 25 ft...bouncing from limb to limb...shattered my arm and now live with the scars and bone damage from the day Birds were trying to tell me something....
My bf had a small pond surrounded by bricks in his front yard and one night I was drunk and I tripped in it falling in the water and busting my head on the brick. Blood everywhere, not a pretty picture. The nurses at the hospital thought I peed myself lol I was so drunk I was hitting on the male nurse‍♀...and thats the story behind my scar on my left eyebrow.

Which one do you wanna hear about? How 'bout this one... Back of index finger on right hand...caught it with an ax while chopping wood. No stitches because I just washed it, put a band-aid on it and went back to chopping. Found out later that I should have gotten stitches when I went to the doctor because I about went into shock when taking that band-aid off to clean it the next day.
My friend bit me in my face during a teenage drunken stuper and got her braces stuck in my cheek.
My scar on my hand is from me trying an at home bikini wax. I heated the wax, took it out to stir, some of the wax was still hard and when I pushed the stirrer into the jar, the wax shot up at my hand. I now have a nice 4 inch dark scar on the top of my hand. ‍♀️ needles to say I threw it all in the trash. forget that!

My hand looked like Freddy Krueger's face! I came home from Chicago for a weekend, which ended up being the weekend before opening day gun! So earlier in the day I went out with my dad and brother to get our blinds ready. While walking in between blind sites...I was holding a machete.... As I state who needs a gun for hunting and lung at what I thought was a rotten stump. The stump did not move and my hand slid all the way down the blade! More details of having to walk a half mile out of the woods, 8 hrs in spectrum hospital to not having insurance, to having to have surgery in Chicago instead of GR!
Got between the dachshund and Bloodhound. I got the bitey from the Doxie meant for the bloodhound. Nice scar on my upper lip. The Doxie wouldn't look at me for 2 days. Lol
I've got a scar on my left wrist that looks like I tried cutting my own wrist . I got it from back checking in hockey and laying out to swipe a puck away. Scar story... On the arch of my right foot I have a 2 inch long scar from when I was barefoot water skiing. It was early early morning like 6 a.m., the air was cold and the water was cold so my skin was really tight and I have narrow feet. The pressure of the water slit my arch.

TQOTD... I have a lot of scar stories but my favorite scar story is on my left leg, just above my knee. I was using an old time-y razor. One that my grandpa used while he was in the Korean war. I slice an inch long piece of skin off my leg. I probably should have gone to get stitches because the FROGGING thing wouldn't stop bleeding. I was in my bed at the time so I found the closest, ugly shirt and wrapped it around my leg and went to bed.
When I was like 7 we were at a family reunion and I won a pair of those silly large sunglasses... I was so excited I took off running to show my mom and I tripped over a tree root and hit my head on a picnic table and split my ear wide open! I still get picked on to this day
I was riding a bike down the road and the bike lane was ending so I went to get up on the sidewalk because it was a pretty busy intersection and I was just going to go to The pedestrian walkway I didn't go up at enough of an angle and there is a slight height discrepancy between the road and the sidewalk and the bike tire just heard his skidded along the sidewalk until I flipped over the front of my bike and tour open my knee it was the bloodiest roasting ever and as it was healing I had to keep it like wet or moisturize otherwise would crack so just like slimy and gross for a really long time and now there is still pavement stuck in my knee

I have a half moon scar on my butt because when I was young my brother tripped me I sat on a grill on top of a fire pit at our camp ground the guys fire pit just took the steaks off the fire
At 14 years of age, I was shot for stealing watermelons. I've a three inch scar on my butt. Two wks later I got shot again for swiping watermelons. This time through the arm. My mother finally had this guy arrested. He got a five yr sentence!!

My scar is from a vicious dog attack that happened when I was 6, my grandparents dog attacked me while I was playing out in a field with my cousins, he had me by the throat for what seemed liked forever until my grandparents got to me. I was in colorguard in high school and during a performance the saber I was throwing came down and sliced me above My eye and now I have a gnarly scar there. One of the worst part is that it bled everywhere and I was wearing a white unitard
Text question of the day: I have a white scar on my right upper arm. It is a burn scar. About three years ago we were having a bonfire cookout at my parents house with all my siblings. We were making Hobo Pies (they are pizza sandwiches made over the fire in cast iron cookers) One of my brothers just got done making one and he did one of those I'm gonna get you with it type moves putting it close to my arm. Do you see where this is going? I flinched, he flinched and the cooker seared into my arm. I literally watched the tan peel off with the cooker. Thankfully I had been drinking so pain was non-existent! Lol but yeah that's how I got the scar on my arm. And a permanent spot that won't tan!
About 15 years ago we were having a fire with our neighbors. My said she should let her dog out I said I will do it . The dog was so happy to go out she pulled me off the deck! I landed on the driveway and couldn't move! My. Husband had to take me to The ER! I broke my collar bone . I had to have surgery on it. I have a pretty ugly 10 inch SCAR because of that!
Wisdom tooth extraction resulted in accidental broken jaw in October.
My Brother cut me across my cheek with a razor blade when I was a year old. The scar is still there and it's about 3" long. (He was only 2)
I have a 4 in scar on my hip from getting stuck in the Gatekeeper roller coaster at Cedar Point It broke down and the harness was too tight, digging into my belt. Formed an abcess (gross) on my hip that needed to be surgically removed 4 months later
My story is that I was in the back seat of an old bmw bug and there was a cigarette lighter in the back seat. It did not know what it was and I pushed it in. A minute later it popped out because it was now hot. I heard the noise and picked up the lighter. I then stuck my finger in the lighter and burned my finger. I burn it bad enough that I changed my finger print on that finger.
