Why are you embarrassed to be a member of your family?

• #secrets My family carries a stereotype because nobody can seem to break the cycle of abuse. Those habits seem to be passed down from generation to generation and although I want nothing more than to be a mom someday, I'm freaking terrified because I will burn in hell before I will ever allow myself to repeat those mistakes.
• I'm embarrassed because of my sister. My mom is like 70 and married a retired vitnaum vet. So my sister disowned her because she married a baby killer. It what happens in war. Ps my sister a psychiatrists.
• Well.... My family doesn't really appreciate nor care for my crass, dark, crude, sick, and down right twisted sense of humor most of time. That and I tend to have a really hard time holding my tongue. I tend to get lots of awful looks like omg what is wrong with you?! It's great and way fun lol.
• When I was a kid I was embarrassed to be in a family with 5 kids (all full blooded siblings not half or step). But I love being the oldest of a large family now that I'm older. It doesn't bother me at all anymore when people make comments on how many kids my parents decided to have :)
• I’m not embarrassed to be a member of my family...I embrace our weirdness. 😂
• Social anxiety has crippled me most of my life, stemming from when I was a teenager when my dad committed suicide when I was 15, then when my mother and stepfather were murdered last year. Because of all of this, my extended family has shunned me because I haven't grieved "the right way" in their eyes #dontneedthem

• I'm not sure if I would say embarrassed, but on both sides I'm the "junk smasher"; if I want something, I WILL make it happen (I'm also small, so perhaps make up for it in other ways). I made a lot happen in my life that no one else has accomplished, and have taken some serious crap for it. I have stopped talking to family who have looked down on me. I made this happen for myself and they could have chosen a different path too.
• Prejudices run deep. I cannot stand ignorance when it comes to treating others different because of their background/past/cultural stereotype. I cringe every time a racial comment comes out of someone’s mouth. I am finally old enough to tell them to knock it off
• I am the only one who takes care of my Mom. I have 2 older siblings and they wont help with anything. Grrr.
• Everyone is either an alcoholic or a drug abuser. Let's not forget that everyone except my mom and grandmother essentially pretended to not see me and then act surprise when they "saw" me...this was on Christmas...
• They make me look sane, even tempered and rational. What's to be embarrassed about?
• Ugh sorry about this but POLITICS and how they all love to talk about their views on FB and OMG Either side blah blah is it 2021 yet 😫
• They are all super cool and wealthy....I'm just good looking :( lol
• A majority are embarrassed to be related to me. Lol
• They treat me like a black sheep, even though I feel like I’m not.
• Not afraid to pass gas, ANYWHERE!!!!
• Because they are all self absorbed assholes. Im just glad my mom knew who was there for her when she was dying from brain cancer. The day she died i found out my eldest sister was freaking camping !!!!!

• I’m not embarrassed. My mom was marred five times before my seventh birthday. Was fun growing up watching the rest of the family snicker wondering how long THIS ONE would last. They pretty much hated my latest step dad and treated him like crap. Not sure how they expected my mom to feel. Turns out it lasted until the day she died. The rest of the family are the ones that should be embarrassed, and can kiss the hair on my backside #5
• My brother-in-law. When his mother was dying from cancer he wanted us to tell him a specific date when she was going to pass because he Didn't want to take work off longer than needed.
• TQOFTD-my parents social life. I had a hard time making friends growing up. Enough said.
• I'm embarrassed to be a part of my family because they're all extremely selfish and judgey. They're hard to swallow sometimes. I don't fit in with them and am constantly being judged for having bad anxiety from things I've gone through. It's always "just let it go" or "why do you have to be like this?" Needless to say I've started pulling away from them quite a bit
• I asked my kids The text question of the day on their way to school. They both replied you and dad. I asked why are you embarrassed of me and dad, and they said....ugh mom, like just everything about you...like you are so embarrassing. I always thought I was a cool mom but apparently my presence on this earth is a total embarrassment for my teens😂
• The family on my father's side that I share the same last name with I am embarrassed because Quite a few of them live an alternative lifestyle I do not Agree with. Quite a few of them have been incarcerated for numerous crimes including drug use. And a vast majority of them are just pure white trash.
• TQOTD. I'm not embarrassed to be a member of my family but I believe my family is embarrassed of me. I made some decisions in my 20s that affected my present life and makes me not like to share my history with people
• 2 reasons. 1. My sister likes the drugs and abandoned her 4 kids so my mom has to take care of them. We were raised very well so I know it embarrasses my mom that her kid turned out the way she did. 2. My aunt has two successful twins that she never stops talking about. You can see people make an effort to ditch her at any cost so they don't have to get caught up in a conversation about her daughters
• I'm embarrassed because when my mom was dying of cancer when I was 13, my dad was off having an affair. She moved in a month after she died.
• My sister-in-law makes it well known that she hates children and that she wishes that we would never have one, surprise! I'm pregnant!
• I'm embarrassed to be part of my family because they do nothing but fight with each other. They used to get along but now all they do is backstab one another and tear each other down. Especially now with my grandmother counting down her days and they can't even get along!!
• TQOTD- Im embarrassed because my uncle and his 4 daughters live 20 minutes at the most away from my grandma, yet my mom lives in Ohio and is in Nebraska and has been since February of last year. I'm embarrassed because my uncle I know for a fact my uncle wasn't raised that way. Sad
• My response to secrets today...one of my siblings....who's gender I would rather not say LOVES to ask for free stuff from anyone, anywhere, but especially on Facebook. It's SO embarrassing! I mean, come on. Half of the comments they get is where they can get it for cheap!
• TQOTD: I'm not really embarrassed to be a part of my family, but I know one of my brothers is probably embarrassed by us sisters. (The things we like seem stupid to him)
• There is just one section of the family that I am totally embarrassed about. And an alcoholic aunt who raised trash for kids. One of my cousins has about four or five kids with all different baby daddies and two of her sisters slept with each other's husbands one of them resulting in a child. I stay away from them like they are the plague. The one that has all the different baby daddies even tried to sleep with my husband. #Redneck #Trash
• My dad. Growing up he was an alcoholic and meth addict, he spent years in jail for it. During his last government paid vacation he found religion, and had to be addicted to something. He now believes the world is flat, was created in 7 days, and carbon dating is a load of poo. Makes it hard to bring him around civilized people.

• My family makes soo many gay jokes. Im the only gay guy in my family.
• My family believes that the state is there to help you no matter if you got the money or not. I on the other hand moved away from home when I was 17got a job and I have been supporting myself every sense.
• I'm embarrassed to be part of my fathers family, because he has been spreading lies about me (his oldest daughter) has called me a whore (I've only been with 2 guys and I have a child with one of those guys). He told me he hated my new boyfriend because my boyfriend takes care of me and my son. He also accused me of sending his wife and his youngest daughter nasty explicit texts
