You Only Have Until November 3rd to Visit John Ball Zoo

If you didn't have a chance to visit the zoo this past summer, you don't have much time to left to see all the cute animals.

In a press release from John Ball Zoo they announced their last day for the 2019 season will be Sunday, November 3rd. If it seems a little early for the closure, that's because it is. A month early, in fact. The zoo will begin construction and do upgrades on the following:

• New entry pathway
• New restrooms
• New concession stand
• New parking lot

They also plan on making more space to eventually bring in new animals.

A ribbon cutting is scheduled for October 30th to unveil the new18-acre playground, which includes sensory features for visually impaired. This is a public event, everyone is invited! Get more info here.

John Ball Zoo will be open 10a-4p the rest of the season. It will reopen in Spring 2020.
