Shots rang out again in Grand Rapids on Sunday and this time two people were injured.

According to WOOD, the shooting occurred near Logan Street SE and Charles Avenue in the 3 p.m hour Sunday.

When the Grand Rapids Police arrived on the scene, bullet casings were found along with three cars and the Messiah Missionary Baptist Church all taking shots.

Police say the victims were found in one of the cars that was shot. Both victims are said to be in stable condition.

The male victims were age 16 and 23 and police believe they were the intended targets.

At the time of the shooting, the Messiah Missionary Baptist Church was holding service and fortunately no one was hurt. Police do not believe the church was a target. The congregation attending the service were asked to exit the church from an alternate exit for their safety and to not disturb the crime scene.
