Actress/activist Alyssa Milano said that she was "giving up" her birthday his year in order to help the kids in Flint.

She posted the video on her Twitter page announcing that she has set up a Toys for Tot fundraiser. In the video she states more than half of the children in the city are living below the poverty line and wants to make sure that they have toys to open this holiday season.

Milano, who's birthday is on the 19th, is foregoing her day to raise awareness and help the city, especially the children, whom are still struggling from the Flint water crisis.

The fundraiser had a $20,000 goal which has already been surpassed but if you're interested in helping and making a donation you can do so here.

Milano was just in Michigan in November, campaigning with governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer.
