Bruce with a Big Head & Big Heart is Christine's Pet of the Week

Bruce is a 2-year-old Staffordshire Terrier Mix who's currently up for adoption at the Humane Society of West Michigan. He has a lot of energy and a spunky attitude. Bruce would like to have all the attention to himself so he should be an only pet. He does have a history with kids - however, we would require a child meeting.

Since today is Halloween just a few tips to keep in mind:

Keep your pets away from candy, especially chocolate
Keep decorations away
Don't have lit pumpkins
Make sure pets have updated ID tags

Taliwagger Fundraiser (November 10th 11a-4p)
Tailwagger Dog Photography is holding a fundraiser at HSWM. 50% of all proceeds will go back to help the animals of Humane Society of West Michigan. Dog Portrait session fee is $65 (includes 1 fully edited digital negative) and must be booked in advance. Get more info here.

Facility Fund:

After 18 years, the Humane Society is doing upgrades and necessary repairs on their facility and could use the community's help!

Some of the repairs include new rooftop units, energy recovery ventilators, and re-sealing and caulking the masonry
The goal is to ensure the over 200 animals in our care stay warm, dry, and comfortable.
