If you play the Powerball you better check your ticket because you may now be a multi millionaire.

The Michigan Lottery reports that someone hit the $80 million Powerball jackpot this past Saturday. The ticket was purchased at a party store in Suttons Bay, which is about 25 mins north of Traverse City. If this were me, I'd be calling work off on Monday.

The winner has one year to claim his prize and he or she can take the 30-year annuity or a lump-sum of $55 million.

This is the 4th time a Michigander has won the Powerball jackpot since its inception in 2010. The last time was four years ago. While 80 mill is a crap ton of money a Lapeer resident holds the record for Michigan when he won $337 million in 2012!

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. with an estimated jackpot of $40 million.
