Mother's Day is coming up around the corner, and before you know it all of the best places to grab brunch, lunch, and dinner in Grand Rapids will have full reservation lists. And while your mom is an angel and will grin and bear it through a lunch in the lobby of a fast food place, wouldn't you like to wow her instead?

As a mom who loves to eat local, I'll give you my personal (and professional) opinion on where you should take Mom for Brunch in the Grand Rapids area. These places are so fun, unique, and worth the trip that she'll think you planned for weeks ahead to make her feel special.

I only recently found Brunch House, but it's one of my favorite places to have a treat myself to an incredible meal and latte, kind of breakfast. If your mom loves sweets, unique coffees / teas, or even a mimosa worth posting on Instagram, this is the place to take her. (The photo at the top of the page is also from here)

Asada on Wealthy (Formerly Basalt)
Location: 1450 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids
Reservations?: Nope, but they're worth the wait.

If your mom loves flavor and something unique, Asada on Wealthy is Grand Rapid's newest take on Tex Mex flare. From bold brisket to incredibly unique and flavorful breakfast tacos and sandwiches, she'll fall in love with this culinary trip south that won't require leaving the city.

I cannot recommend Asada more, even if you have it delivered to your house as a treat for mom.

Matchstick Diner
Location: 1345 Lake Drive SE, Grand Rapids
Reservations?: Yes, on their website as well as open table

This self-proclaimed 'Eastown Diner' is a hidden gem amongst it's neighborhood, and that's exactly why it's a perfect pick. If she deserves a 'mom drink' for all of the shenanigans she puts up with on a day-to-day basis, or maybe she'd be into some of the most unique bowls and burritos in the area, she'll leave fed and happy like she tries to make you feel every other day.

Morning Belle
Location: Multiple around Grand Rapids
Reservations?: Yes, on their website

Perfectly clean, quiet, and feeling like home, Morning Belle will leave mom feeling like she did the cooking, without the stress of doing so. With vibrant, clean and vegan options, this is also perfect for the mom who isn't looking to eat something too heavy.

Silva
Location: 975 Ottawa Ave NW, Grand Rapids

Does your mom love the unique, the bizzare, and an experience? Silva is hands down one of Grand Rapids newest and most unique dining experiences. With themes, performers, and incredible flavors, she'll love being treated to a meal and a show.
