The poor person who runs the Grand Rapids Parks and Rec Facebook page probably has the crappiest job in West Michigan.

I've previously written about it, but as of yesterday (August 14th) they’ve had to tell people 5 times this summer that someone at Richmond Park “contaminated the pool”, and they have to close for several hours, or sometimes the rest of the day depending on when it happened.

Three days in a row in June they had to close for this reason, and it happened again last night... I think the poor person who runs the Parks and Recs Facebook page is over it, because they posted this yesterday when someone contaminated the pool:

"We know...we know...ANOTHER closing (this hurts us as much as it hurts you)
Richmond Park's pool will be closed for 2 hours due to contamination and will re-open at 5p today"

And someone named Megan commented, saying they needed a sign, so they agreed and posted this just hours later:

So, first off- shout out to whoever runs that page. If you can't beat the allegations, at least make some jokes. Also secondly, I know whenever they took this job, they probably didn't expect to be the pool poop police.

But hey, we appreciate all of the crappy things you've had to put up with to keep us informed about these less-than-ideal pool closings. Good news, there's only a few days left in the season, so you're almost safe! Let's see if we can keep that sign from resetting before this weekend when the pools close for the year.
