Hipsters, Product Recalls, and Chubby Babies – Steve’s Tips For Brand New Daddys (8-22-18)
Hi, I’m Steve and I’m a new Dad who has learned a lot of things over the last several months and I want to pass along some knowledge to you!
Each week I will be giving you some new tips for first-time parents and one spectacular Dad joke! So let's get to the tips!
- Today’s first daddy tip has to do with dressing your baby. You want your baby to be the coolest kid around, so you gotta have the newest, coolest, most expensive threads, right? Wrong! It’s totally in right now for your baby to be a little hipster. So grab a fake ironic mustache, throw it on your baby’s upper lip and head to the thrift store to find some baby clothes from the 90s or earlier. And then next time you drop your little one off at daycare or take him or her out in public and someone compliments their outfit you can tell them that your little sweetie only buys vintage, then put a fedora on their head and walk off.
- The next tip is a little bit more serious. Keep an eye out for recalls on all things baby that you own. When you buy a new crib or chair or anything really, it should come with a little card that you write all your information on and send back to the manufacturer. That is so if the product gets recalled, they can contact you and tell you about it. Also, keep an eye out for consumers reports or government issued warnings and recalls of food products.
- The final daddy tip is to send in a picture of your own chubby beautiful baby to us! Baby Charlotte is a big girl, being in the top 2% of babies when it comes to weight at her age. We want to see your cute fat babies and possibly even find the chubbiest baby in West Michigan. Just head over to the fattest baby blog and submit your photo along with the age they are in the photo and how much they weighed. And the person doesn’t have to be a baby right now, it could be an old baby photo from 20 years ago.
And now it’s time for an awesome Dad joke!
