Looking to adopt a pet? Now is the time at the Kent County Animal Shelter.

The Kent County Animal Shelter has broken its adoption record, thanks to the Bissell Pet Foundation, and will waive adoption fees on all pets through the end of the year.

Wood TV reports that the "Home For The Holidays" campaign that began in November helped the shelter adopt out 118 pets. KCAS says that the shelter ran out of dogs and has been transferring dogs in from neighboring counties for adoption.

If you're interested in adopting a pet before the new year you can bring in new blankets or canned pet food as a donation, in place of the adoption fee.
