Bosco is a 1-year-old hound mix who was transported to the Humane Society of West Michigan from a shelter in Tennessee about a month ago.

He is a friendly and energetic dog which means be prepared to keep up with him. He's only one so keep in mind he still has puppy in him but he also will lay down and chill if he sees that you are too. Because Bosco is heartworm positive that means keeping up on his preventatives is vital. To help you out, the Humane Society of West Michigan will match 6 months of medication when you purchase the other six. That way you're good to go for a year.

With Hurricane Harvey affecting all those in Houston, including leaving animals displaced, the Humane Society of West Michigan has their facility ready and open for those animals that need places to live in the meanwhile. The HSWMI remains a partner with the national organization, ASPCA, so when any animals need transporting the Humane Society is one of the places they look to for help.

In order to support these relocation efforts, the ANIMAL RELOCATION FUND has been set up for donations. By giving to this lifesaving rescue program, your dollars will go into a fund designated for transport related needs. You can get more info here.
