Christine George [Townsquare Media][/caption]great in any type of home but she is a little shy at first so give her a moment to warm up to you. She loves going on walks but also likes to relax. If you have kids or other pets at home you're more than welcome to take them to the shelter and sit in a playroom to see how they interact with Snickers. Get ready to fall in love, though, she's too sweet!

If you rather bring a cat home, now through the end of the year, the Humane Society is offering fee waived adoptions for cats 5 months and older.

Senior cats and dogs (7 years and older) also have their adoption fees waived along with free boosters for life!

Also, if you make charitable contributions during this holiday season, keep the Humane Society of West Michigan in mind. They are a non-profit organization that is 100% donor funded, so whatever you can donate goes a long way. You can learn more about donating to the shelter here and information on tax write offs. The deadline to get in those tax deductions for 2015 is December 31st.
