Stone is an incredible 2-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix who will do wonderful in any type of family.

Stone was transferred to the Humane Society of West Michigan from Gennessee County. The previous owners said that he was a great dog, got along well with their small child in the home and other dogs, but was not getting along well with the cat so they had to give him up.. If you have another dog, it's always encouraged to bring them into the humane society that way you can see how the dogs interact with one another.

For being a pitbull, he's a little on the smaller side but still has an adorable boxy face. He's very well-mannered, trained and tempered so as long as you don't have a cat, Stone is going to fit right into your home and family.

If you're still trying to figure out what to do for Valentine's Day, the Humane Society of West Michigan has partnered with the Grand Rapids Ballet on the 14th for a 'Pas & Paws' event. The ballet will be putting on a performance of "Black & White: Swan Lake" and 50% of the proceeds from the tickets will go towards the Humane Society. There will even be dogs for you to play with an hour before the show, and during intermission! You can get your tickets right now, here.

The following day, on February 15th, from 6p-8p, the Humane Society of West Michigan will be hosting on-site adoptions at Fido & Stitch at 616 Lofts in Downtown Grand Rapids. It's a pet-friendly event which means you'll be able to bring your four-legged friends. There will also be food and drinks plus a photo booth so you can take pictures with your dogs, thanks to Green Dog Photography! The event is FREE but it's encouraged you RSVP here.
