Thunder may be a small dog but just like his name, makes a big impact.

Thunder is a 10-year-old Chihuahua. He was brought to the Humane Society of West Michigan because his owner was ill so he needs someone who will love him just as much as his previous owner. Because Thunder is part of the Silver Paws society his adoption fee is waived. He currently is living with another dog at the Humane Society so would most likely do well if you already have a dog at home.

Thunder is super lovable and he loves kisses... I know because he gave me a bunch :)
MARK YOUR CALENDAR because Empty the Shelters is back on Saturday, May 5th! The Bissell Pet Foundation is covering all adoption fees at the 66 participating shelters around the state. You can find one closest to you here
While not required to be pre-approved it's definitely encouraged because it basically serves as a "fast pass." Fill out an application form and stop into The Humane Society of West Michigan before the 5th and meet with an adoption counselor. On the day of Empty the Shelters, pre-approved applicants can adopt between 11a-12p. Otherwise, the shelter will be open to the public 12p-4p. Puppies and kittens will NOT be available that day.
And don't forget that summer camp registration is still open. You can find the different camps being offered and register here.
