Michigan Man Tells Family Lottery Money Is Going To Be His

A Van Buren man who has over 5,000,000 reasons to remain anonymous saw that the Lotto 47 jackpot was over $5 million and told his family

"That money is going to be mine!"

His prediction ended up become a reality after he bought the winning ticket at the Speedway gas station on South Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 3-25-30-35-38-46

When the man saw that he had won the $5.46 million lottery jackpot he couldn't contain his excitement, telling the Michigan Lottery:

“I checked the winning numbers online that night after the drawing and recognized them instantly, I had to recheck the numbers several times after seeing I matched them all because it was so surreal. Once I was sure I’d really won the jackpot, I ran out the door and down the street because I was so excited!"

The winner had two options: he could have taken a lump sum payment, which is usually about half the total amount, or the second option that he chose, to receive yearly payments of around $180,000 for the next 30 years.
