Zach Bryan’s Big House Show May End in Fireworks (Literally)
Zach Bryan’s massive sold-out concert at Michigan Stadium was already shaping up to be one for the record books. Now, it might end with actual fireworks.
We’re talking about the kind that light up the sky.
On September 27, Zach Bryan will take the stage at The Big House (University of Michigan stadium) in front of more than 112,000 fans, enough to potentially break the North American record for concert attendance.
But in addition to that milestone, there’s now a plan in motion to close out the night with a rooftop fireworks display over the iconic stadium, pending approval from the University of Michigan Board of Regents.
The board is set to vote on the plan during its meeting on Thursday, June 12. If approved, 90 seconds of fireworks will launch from the east and west towers of Michigan Stadium immediately after the concert’s finale.
And what a finale it’ll be. ZB is also bringing serious star power to the big house for this record setting show. Seven-time Grammy winner John Mayer, as well as Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen, and Joshua Slone are all set to perform.
The concert is being organized by AEG Worldwide, which has tapped Las Vegas-based Pyrotek Special Effects Inc. to handle the fireworks show. They've worked with artists like Hardy, Justin Timberlake, and The Jonas Brothers to create their pyro and fireworks displays:
According to documents, Pyrotek has already submitted the full safety plan, insurance paperwork, and licensing to meet U of M’s strict guidelines. The final thumbs-up will come from the university fire marshal.
If approved, the show won’t just be record-setting—it’ll be explosive in every sense of the word.
Hope you already have your tickets if you plan to go, because fans snapped up every ticket in under 2.5 hours when they went on sale in February, making this one of the most highly anticipated events of the year.
