Puppy Rescued!

On Monday night a woman heard crying from a trash can, and when she looked inside, she saw an 8-week-old Chihuahua mix puppy.

The puppy was taken to the Kent County Animal Shelter.  Veterinarians immediately noticed there was something wrong with her eye.  The issue could have been a birth defect, but the eye is being operated on today.  The veterinarians say they want to give the puppy a chance at a normal life.

As soon as the eye has time to heal the puppy that has been named Foxy is going to be put up for adoption by the Kent County Animal Shelter.
