Puppy Starter Kit Recalled Due To Salmonella Risk

If you purchased a 1.69 ounce package of the Puppy Starter Kit dog chews, made by Nylabone, it's advised that you discontinue use.

The FDA recall alert includes packages marked with Lot #21935 with UPC 0-18214-81291-3. The chews have an expiration date of 3/22/18.

No illnesses have been reported but the recall is due to the potential for contamination after routine testing revealed the presence of Salmonella. This can cause animals such symptoms as being lethargic with diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Humans handling the product are also at risk.
