When you visit the Humane Society of West Michigan, they have an abundance of animals adopt, but these three particular animals could really use someone to open up their hearts and homes for them.

The Humane Society of West MI told us they are doing an adoption special for their "long term residents" meaning adoption fees will be waived to entice potential adopters.

First, meet Becca who has been with HSWM for almost 2 years! She is looking for an adopter with lots of energy and time to play. Becca is 6-years-old and does great with kids 13 and up.

Next up is 3-year-old Ava. She's been with HSWM for over 170 days. Ava loves rope toys and spending time outside and would do best with an adult family who can give her lots of attention.

And, last but definitely not least, is for all the kitty lovers. Meet 9-year-old Johanna. She's been with HSWM for about 130 days and is a very social, easygoing cat who gets along well with the dog in her foster home.

All of these "long term residents" are free to adopt so if you have been thinking about adding a fur baby to the family, please consider one of these cuties.

Of course, you can see all of the adoptable animals at the Humane Society of West Michigan here.

If adopting isn't an option at the moment, that's okay because you can still show your support for the shelter. On Thursday, August 27, the HSWM is hosting its 3rd annual Titos, Tots, and Tails at Blue Dog Tavern in Grand Rapids. A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to Humane Society of West Michigan, which is 100% donor-funded. The event will be from 5p-10p. It's Thirsty Thursday so why not give yourself an excuse to get out and have some food and drinks all for a good cause!
