‘It Feels Like I Can Breathe Again': Calhoun County Man Hits $1 Million Michigan Lottery Jackpot
A 46-year-old man from Calhoun County recently found himself holding a $1,000,000 Michigan Lottery ticket.

The man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, shared some details with the Michigan Lottery about how this winning moment came to be.
The winning Millionaire Maker ticket was bought in Battle Creek at Lakeview Liquor on Capital Avenue Southwest.

“I don’t play the lottery a lot, but whenever I feel like buying a ticket, I’ll buy one. I bought a Millionaire Maker ticket while I was at the store and then tucked it away to scratch later after work. When I saw it was a $1 million winner, I freaked out! It feels like I can breathe again.”
The lucky man decided to take his prize as a one-time lump sum payment, which came out to around $693,000.
With his newly acquired winnings, he is going to buy a new car and then plans to save the remaining money.
This lucky winner isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.
A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.
A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.
And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
