The Heartwarming Reason Billy Strings Was At Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital
Music is the great communicator; it has the power to unite people of different ages, races, and religious beliefs.
It can make you laugh, it can make you cry, and it can inspire you to keep going no matter how tough a situation you are going through.
One place where that is most certainly true is at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids.

Inside the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, you will find the Blue Glass Studio, which is their very own television station.
Kids and families can watch the channel inside their rooms and interact with the programs and people who are broadcasting live.
This week, Blue Glass Studios was transformed into Blue Grass Studios.
Billy Strings Performs At Helen DeVos Children's Hospital
Billy Strings, a Michigan native and Grammy Award-winning bluegrass artist, has a personal connection to the hospital.
Last year, Billy and his wife Ally had a baby boy who ended up in the NICU.
After receiving such great care during a scary time, they wanted to come back for a special visit, and that's what they did on Wednesday.
Billy was joined by music therapists Lydia and Abby, who served as hosts while he performed songs.
Helen DeVos Children's Hospital shared pictures from the visit on Facebook.
