I snapped these photos a few years ago when I lived up in Traverse City. A friend and I were taking photos of the old mental hospital, and I swear I see a face in this picture.

Take a look a the photo above. Look at the bottom row of windows, second from the right. Can you see it?

Here's a close-up:

I didn't do anything to alter, other than zooming in with Microsoft Paint. People on Reddit told me I'm nuts, but I swear I'm seeing a face in that window.

A few people told me it's probably something behind the glass. I can tell you that it's not, I went back the next day to investigate, while it was light out, and there was nothing behind the window to reflect that shape.

Some background on the old Traverse City State Hospital: It was built in 1885 and shut down in 1989. Today it's known as the Village At Grand Traverse Commons, a mixture of shops and condos. Many of the buildings on site, including the building above, have yet to be renovated. There are tunnels on site where nurses use to escort patients, trails on the grounds that take you through some rather creepy areas, and basements with old wooden caskets that have yet to be disposed of.

If you're ever up north, I suggest you swing by to take a look for yourself. You can find it through the woods at Division and 11th in Traverse City.
