After a year of cancelations due to the pandemic, some traditions are starting to return this year like the Downtown Holland Parade of Lights.

Downtown Holland's Parade of Lights is an event that has over 75 floats, trucks and a variety of vehicles decked out with Christmas lights. Plus there are marching bands and even family's who are all decorated with lights that join in on the parade.

If kids want to get an early glimpse of Santa Clause the Downtown Holland Parade of Lights will be their chance. Santa will arrive to be escorted all who have entered the Parade of Lights. At the end of the parade Santa take time to greet fans young and old.

The parade will kickoff on the corner of 8th Street and Columbia Avenue. It moves west down 8th Street and wraps up at the Holland Civic Center Place which is the home of the Holiday Kersmarkt. You may want to put Tuesday, November 30th on your calendar if you plan on attending. The event will officially start at 6:30 p.m.

According to FOX 17, if you have a business or organization that is interested in entering the Parade of Lights, you will need to complete the online application. This is a first come first serve type of event.

The only requirement to enter is you must have your vehicle, float or your person decorated in lights. There is a $50 entrance fee for businesses and a $25 entrance fee for non-profit organizations.
