The owner of that ticket made history on Friday night as the first player in Michigan to win a $100,000 a year for life prize playing the new Millionaire For Life game!

This prize is the first time a Michigan Lottery player has won the second-tier prize of $100,000 a year for life since the Millionaire For Life game launched on Feb. 22.

The winning ticket matched the five white ball numbers of  03-15-16-24-28 and was bought at the Mancelona North EZ Mart.

Whenever the winner comes forward, they will have to decide how they want to get paid.

The first option is Annual $100,000 payments for a minimum of 20 years of life, whichever is greater.

The other option is a one-time lump sum payment of $2.2 million.

Whoever is the winner has one year to come forward and head to Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing to claim their prize.

This lucky winner isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.

A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.

A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.

And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
