Meet Drayven – Christine’s Pet of the Week

Another week, another pet from the Humane Society of West Michigan. This Wednesday Drayven was my special guest. He's a 2-year-old American Staffordshire and he's got my favorite coat... brindle! Drayven is sweet and friendly but you need to be patient as he starts to get comfortable with you. He would do best in a home preferably without any other animals but will do great with kids. He also got a clean bill of health, recently, and is ready to find a new home.... hopefully with you!

Since we're on the subject of dogs, Bark in the Dark, a glow-in-the-dark fun run/5k, is coming up Saturday, October 10th and registration is now open. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of West Michigan. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at Riverside Park and you can bring your dog(s) with you! Finally, the shelter is in the running to win $5,000 from Independent Bank. They are awarding the money to a local non-profit that serves animals in our community. You can help the Humane Society of West Michigan win by voting here. You can vote every 24 hours until September 7th!
