His Simple Monday Ritual Turned Into a Life-Changing $250,000 Michigan Lottery Win

Sometimes it's people that are just playing their favorite lucky numbers or they just had a gut feeling or sometimes it's just random luck.

For one Michigan man he just won big by following a weekly ritual.

The 75-year-old man who is from Macomb County recently won nearly $250,000 playing the Fantasy 5 Jackpot.

He stopped by lottery headquarters in Lansing to cash in the winning ticket and shared how he won big.

“It’s a ritual of mine to buy a Fantasy 5 ticket every Monday when I stop at the store. The next day, while I was at my daughter’s house helping her clean up after a tree had fallen onto her house during a storm, she looked at me and said: ‘This would be a great time to win the lottery.’ That reminded me that I hadn’t checked my Fantasy 5 ticket yet.

“I grabbed the ticket out of my pocket and checked it on the Michigan Lottery app which is when I found out I’d won the jackpot! It was unbelievable.”

This lucky Michigan man isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.

A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.

A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.

And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
