Those wins are usually for small amounts, but a recent email that he received was a bit different and he knew that was a good thing.

“I have a Powerball subscription set up on my online account so I don’t miss a drawing. The day after the drawing, I saw an email from the Lottery that was different from the ones I’m used to when I win a few dollars. I knew I must have won big, but I wanted to wait for my wife to get home so we could find out the prize amount together.

“When I logged in later that night and there was $1 million pending in my account we were both in disbelief. All I could think was: ‘Is this a joke?’ It still feels unreal!”

Roy was able to match the five white balls of 03-19-35-51-67 in the April 29th drawing to win the $1 million prize.

This lucky winner isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.

A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.

A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.

And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
