A 68 year-old woman from Wayne County recently won $1.67 million playing the Lotto 47 game.

The woman who chose to remain anonymous told the Michigan Lottery that she bought a ticket with the numbers she usually plays and in a spur-of-the-moment decision, she bought two easy picks as well.

That decision ended up with her winning the Lotto 47 Jackpot.

The woman's husband shared with the Michigan Lottery the exciting moment he realized they had won big!

“Every morning after the drawing, I check our tickets by looking at the winning numbers on MichiganLottery.com. As I checked off the numbers, I said to myself: ‘We won $5, then $100, then $2,500,’ and then when I checked off the last number to win the jackpot I yelled: ‘No way!’ I surprised my wife later that morning by handing her the ticket and showing her the winning numbers online.”

This lucky lady isn't the only person to win big playing the Michigan Lottery.

A man visiting Michigan from Maryland recently won $1,000,000 playing a Lucky Numbers instant win ticket.

A Bay County woman who had been playing Lotto 47 for 20 years with the same numbers hit it big and won $1.1 million.

And an Oakland County woman playing Fantasy 5 online accidentally selected a wrong number that resulted in her winning $250,000.
