West Side GR Crossing Guard Shares Holiday Joy With Drivers

Back in November, we met Brenda Dobbs, the school day crossing guard at the Leonard and Alpine intersection.

She was a part of a #PeopleDoingGood story when members of the ‘We Are Westsiders’ Facebook group got together and bought Brenda boots at Miera’s Family Shoes to show their appreciation of her smiling face and helping keep the neighborhood kids safe on their way to and from Harrison Park Elementary each day.

Well, today as I was driving into work, Brenda was just ending her shift and I got to see that she was proving exactly why the west side of Grand Rapids loves this lady!  There she was holding a sign that said,

Merry Christmas

And of course with the sign, was a giant smile!   Merry Christmas, Brenda and thanks being you!!
