The poor 100th street bridge! The bridge has already been hit eight times since January. The lower than normal bridge is clearly labeled and there are warning signs well before the bridge to warn trucks of the upcoming obstacle. Until the bridge can be remade in 2020, MDOT has to find a way to keep truckers from crashing into the bridge, because apparently, signs are not enough.

Michigan State Police will now be patrolling the area to make sure large trucks don't go under the bridge. The bridge has also had a few inches taken off to increase the height. Hopefully, this will prevent anyone else from hitting the bridge but we will just have to wait and see.
