If you grew up in the 90's, it's time to rejoice because the popular soft drink, Surge is back! The citrus-flavored pop hit shelves on Monday after 12 years since it was discontinued. It's the #SURGEComeback!

Coca-Cola debuted Surge in 1996 as a competitor to PepsiCo's Mountain Dew and was pulled in 2003 after sales declined. But thanks to the Surge Movement the drink is back! The Surge Movement was started as a social media campaign by three people, according to WSB-TV Atlanta. They have over 200,000 likes on Facebook and even raised enough money to buy a billboard near Coca-Cola's headquarters, which read: "Dear Coke, we couldn't buy SURGE, so we bought this billboard instead."

Their hard efforts worked because you can now re-live your childhood with a can of Surge! You can go to Surge's website here and see where Surge is being sold in Grand Rapids. I noticed Firehouse Subs on Celebration Drive is one of them... a tasty sub and Surge for lunch?? Mmmm. Sounds like a plan!
