You know how we have "shower thoughts?" The thoughts that cross our mind or the stuff we think about when we are showering. Well, that happened to me, except on the toilet... hence the title of today's Christine-ology.

Without being gross, I started writing this on the toilet.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that my phone is on me as the majority of people nowadays can’t bear the thought of using the bathroom without bringing their phone with them, and the facts back it. A 2021 study by bankmycell.com found that 75% of Americans admit to using their phone on the toilet. Furthermore, 96% of people 23 and younger won’t go to the bathroom without their phone!

Since Gen Z hasn’t really experienced life without cell phones, it kind of makes sense. But what about the rest of us? What did we do in the bathroom before cell phones? Other than just take care of business, obviously. I admit I would read the back of shampoo bottles or whatever was in reach.

But now we have mobile games to keep us occupied, social media to look at, and some are even taking meetings on the porcelain throne. Haha getting paid to poop.

What you do in the bathroom is your private matter, but just remember these two things:

  1. Wipe the germs off your phone
  2. Keep the hemorrhoid cream nearby
